I only have a small yard. How much space does a pony party need?
The pony doesn't need much space at all. We can do pony rides on any flat surface, like a sidewalk, backyard, or a non-busy street. For business or corporate events, a small section of parking lot will work.

What is the weight limit for the pony?
Since we have 4 ponies and 2 horses to choose from we can accommodate any size child.
Our smallest pony, Amadeus is Shetland type. He's about 10hh and can take riders up to about 60lbs. He is dark bay, which really means his body is dark brown and his legs, mane and tail are black.
Our medium size ponies are both grade ponies. Cooper is sorrel and Pocket is a medicine hat paint. They are both about 12 hh and take riders up to 100lbs.
Our largest pony is a Morgan/Quarter horse cross and is about 13.2 hh. His name is Jack, and he is a also a dark bay. He can take riders up to about 130lbs.
We also have 2 horses to choose from. Pablo is a 15 hh Quarter Horse and then there is Blueberry, a 15.2 hh Appaloosa. Yes, moms and dads can ride them too!
Rocky, our oldest pony is now officially retired. He is 22 years old and just hangs out here on the farm with his friends. I know that over the years he made lots of kids smile. Now Zoe, our 2 year old daughter, gets to spoil him.
Horsey trivia:
hh = hands high; A hand = 4 inches; 14.2 hands and taller = horse; 14.2 hands and shorter = pony.
Grade just means mutt. You don't know what kind of horse (or pony) it is.
You can see pictures on all of our ponies on our Pony Pictures Page.

What about the rides?
All of our pony rides are hand-led for you child's safety. It's more interesting for the children then going in a little circle. We can also provide helmets for all of the children to wear.

Can you decorate the ponies?
The ponies can come decorated with your color choice of ribbon in their manes and tails. Please make sure you specify this when booking the party.
BACK TO LIST
Can you ride double on the pony?
Unfortunately no. The problem with riding double is that if one person loses their balance, the other one will fall off as well. Since your safety is our primary concern, we want to make sure that everyone enjoys themselves.
